Bachelor degree in any field.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES
Experience in Management level in housekeeping department in hotel at least 5 years
GENERAL DUTIES:
Housekeeping Manager is a key individual in achieving the goals and quality standards of the housekeeping department. Housekeeping Manager must impact all elements of the department, from standards of cleanliness to associate morale, to budgetary goals, to inter-departmental relations. As such, the Housekeeping Manager has responsibility for:
? Overseeing operation of the housekeeping department on a day ? to ?day basis.
? Fulfilling the operational need of associated departments such as laundry, florist and staff needs or requests, as possible
? To be proficient in the administrative operation of the applicable department of responsibility and other special projects as may be required.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
? Identify and maintain various methods and /or areas to achieve constructive communications:
? Regularly scheduled department meeting
? Productive and interesting monthly dept. Meetings
? Attractive and up-to-date posting area for memos, announcement, etc.
? An efficient and effective inter-departmental routing system to keep supervisory staff informed (pass-on-logs, inter-office routing etc).
? Implement and maintain controls and procedures to ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance are achieved:
? Weekly walk-around, documented inspections of guest rooms, public areas and support facilities with Operation Manager.
? Thorough staff training and review process.
? Comprehensive work order program to ensure that work orders are written.
? Catalogued so they can be followed up
? Follow-up with engineering for thank you or for reason for lack of completion.
? Build and maintain an employee relations program that will both meet the employee needs and the company?s goals.
? Establish and maintain a procedure of a daily ?morning meeting? to greet and up-date the staff and to inspect uniform cleanliness and compliance.
? Develop and implement an incentive program to acknowledge a positive comments from guest on specific employees.
